For Email Marketing you can trust

Do I have to provide a credit card to register? - No, entering the credit card information is optional although we recommend that you place a billing number on file with us as it allows us to serve you faster.

I have yet to receive an e-mail confirming my registration? - Then you may have entered the wrong e-mail address when registering. You will have to re-register.

Where should I send payment? - These days we prefer that you pay via credit card. You can either e-mail us, provided it in your registration or call us during our hours of Monday-Friday 10am-6pm Eastern time zone. If you want to pay via check, send it to: The Scout Patch Auction, 5150 Carpenter, Ypsilanti, MI 48197.

What is an "owner reserve"? - For some items, the owner has set a minimum that they will accept for the item. We try to encourage letting items go without a reserve but the consignors get to make the final call on this. Where the bidding does not achieve the owner's reserve, the owner has the right to not sell the item (although they can have us remove the reserve and sell at the high bid).

Can I put items in for auction? - Through our regular consignment process. See the section under Reference Information about selling Scouting collectibles.

How much is postage/shipping? - Postage/shipping fees run:

To figure your postage, add up your winning bids on an auction and then use the above list. You pay shipping on the total not on a per piece basis (which can save you a lot of money over other auction services.)

When do auctions close?

The computer controls auction close. If the computer will accept a bid, then the auction is open. If it won't, then the auction is closed. We now have a dynamic close where lots remain open until there has been fifteen (15) minutes since the last bid once the dynamic close begins (as stated on the web page screen). If you are concerned about being 'sniped' then be sure to use the limit bid feature when bidding. Sniping only works if you set your limit lower than you were willing to go.
